Screenshot Swipe stores your notes and tags on your device. Optional AI features send selected photos or extracted text to Google Gemini. Purchases are managed through Apple and RevenueCat.
Overview
Screenshot Swipe is designed with privacy as a priority. We do not collect or store any personal data on our servers. The App does not have its own backend servers.
Photo Library Access
The app requests access to your photo library to:
- Display your screenshots for review
- Delete screenshots you choose to remove
- Keep track of screenshots you've saved
Browsing, reviewing, and on-device text extraction do not upload your photos. If you choose an AI feature, the content described below is sent to Google Gemini for analysis.
AI-Powered Features (Optional)
AI Analyze, Smart Review, and Deep Library Analysis use Google's Gemini API to suggest notes, tags, and review actions. You can use manual review, notes, tags, and reminders without these features.
What data is sent
- Selected screenshot or photo images, or extracted text, depending on the analysis feature
- Available tag names and the review profile instructions and rules you choose
- Content visible in the selected image, which may include personal information
Individual analysis runs when you request it. Batch analysis uses the scope you select. If you enable Auto-Analyze New Screenshots in Settings, new screenshots are sent for analysis when you open the app. You can turn that option off in Settings.
Google processes AI requests under its Privacy Policy and Gemini API terms. Those terms describe how Google processes and retains submitted content.
Using the app without AI
Leave automatic analysis off and do not request AI analysis to keep your screenshot content out of AI requests. On-device OCR and manual organization remain available. Subscription services may still communicate with Apple and RevenueCat.
On-Device Text Extraction
The app uses Apple's Vision framework to extract text from screenshots. This processing happens entirely on your device and does not require an internet connection.
Notifications
The app may request permission to send local notifications for reminders you set. These notifications are scheduled entirely on your device.
Data Storage
Any data the app stores (such as tags, notes, and saved screenshot references) is kept locally on your device using Apple's standard data storage frameworks.

RevenueCat processes subscription information as described in its Privacy Policy. Screenshot Swipe does not display ads.
Children's Privacy
Screenshot Swipe does not require account registration. If you believe personal information about a child has been submitted through an optional AI feature, please contact us.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
